Illustrated story to “Collier’s” Magazine. In his early 20’s he was introduced to Charles Russell, whose paintings of western subjects provided a great influence on Goodwin’s work. They traveled together, sketching source material. Goodwin’s work would appear in such books as Jack London’s “Call of the Wild and “African Game Trails” by Theodore Roosevelt.
